The River Connects Us
We are a Civil Society Organization supported by institutions, organizations and individuals with the objective of articulating efforts to revitalize the Tijuana River and improve the quality of life for our binational communities.

Mission
Ensure an ecologically sustainable Tijuana River, connected to the city, accessible to people and with open green spaces for all, through a process of collaborative management, action
community and strategic leadership.
Vision
We share the vision of a revitalized Tijuana River, which is a binational natural and cultural heritage, an environmental hub
and sustainable urban mobility of Tijuana, and a world-class destination for recreation, social coexistence and reconnection with nature, which improves the quality of life of our
communities.
Objectives
Physically and visually connect the river with the city, and make it the main axis of active mobility.
Improving water management and governance around water from
of the river and its basin.
Generate added value around the
revitalization of the river.
Building community, local roots and pride
from the city across the river.
Manifest
Re-imagining our River
On August 28, during the Green Agora session in Tijuana, Baja California, a group of organizations, academics, environmentalists, businesspeople, urban planners and activists shared our thoughts on the current situation of the Tijuana River: the causes, effects and impact of the river's deterioration in our binational region.
Analyzing examples of how the revitalization of urban rivers is generating benefits in many cities around the world, the question arose: is it possible to revive our river? We jointly concluded that it is not only possible, but vital to address climate change and ensure a more habitable, sustainable binational region with a better quality of life for our communities.
